Delete your data from Apple
What Apple says about deleting your data and about selling it, taken from its own pages and read on October 4, 2026.
How to ask Apple to delete your data
Sign in on Apple's Data and Privacy page and use the option to delete your Apple Account and its data permanently. Californians who cannot use that page can submit a request through Apple's privacy contact page or by phone.
- Where to ask
- A form or account page
- How it confirms it's you
- Sign in to your account, where your identity is verified.
- How long it says it takes
- Most substantive contacts get a reply within seven days
- What it may keep
- May decline deletion when it must keep a record, such as transaction data, or when deletion would undermine its anti-fraud and security use of data.
What Apple says about selling your data
Apple's privacy policy says it does not sell your personal data.
Apple also says it does not share personal data in the California sense; personalized ads can be turned off in device settings.
