Marketing and retail companies: stop emails and delete your data
Most of the email in an inbox comes from places you once bought from or gave your address to: stores, restaurants, delivery services and the loyalty programs around them. Stopping the emails is usually one link at the bottom of a message. Getting the company to delete what it kept, such as order history, saved cards and a profile, is a separate request, and these guides say where each company wants it sent.
